These Terms & Conditions explain the general rules that apply when you use this website, request an estimate or quote, contact Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot, or arrange transportation services with us.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By using this website, submitting information through the website, requesting an estimate or quote, or arranging services with Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot, you agree that these Terms & Conditions apply to that use or request together with any specific written quote, booking confirmation, invoice, or other terms provided for the job.
If a specific written agreement for a job conflicts with these general website terms, the specific written agreement will govern that job to the extent of the conflict, subject to applicable law.
2. Our Services
Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot provides transportation services that may include hauling, hotshot delivery, flatdeck service, enclosed trailer service, hitch and tow-behind transport, commercial transportation, equipment movement, and related logistics support.
Availability depends on the route, load, equipment requirements, timing, access conditions, legal operating requirements, weather, driver availability, and other circumstances relevant to the job.
3. Estimates and Quotes
Website estimates, including estimates produced through Steve's Guess, are preliminary only and are not confirmed bookings or guaranteed final prices.
Final pricing may depend on information such as the actual pickup and delivery locations, route, distance, dimensions, weight, equipment requirements, handling requirements, access, timing, waiting time, loading conditions, and other job-specific factors.
A job is not confirmed merely because the website displays an estimate. Ronnie's Confirmation or another direct booking confirmation is required before the work is treated as booked.
4. Booking and Confirmation
Submitting a contact form, requesting Ronnie's Confirmation, sending an email, leaving a message, or requesting a quote does not by itself guarantee availability or create a confirmed transportation booking.
A booking is confirmed when Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot accepts the job and communicates the applicable service details, timing, and pricing to you.
5. Your Information and Job Details
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate and reasonably complete so that we can assess, price, schedule, and safely perform the requested service.
Relevant information may include:
- Accurate pickup and delivery locations.
- The nature and quantity of the load.
- Dimensions and weight when known or reasonably available.
- Loading and unloading requirements.
- Site access restrictions or receiving hours.
- Special handling, securement, condition, or safety concerns.
- Any change that could materially affect the equipment, schedule, route, or price.
6. Load Suitability and Safety
We may inspect the load and the practical conditions of the job before loading or transport. We may decline, pause, or require changes to a job where the information provided does not match the actual load or where we reasonably determine that the work cannot be completed safely, legally, or with the equipment assigned.
You must disclose any condition that could reasonably affect safe handling or transport, including unusual dimensions, instability, leakage, hazardous characteristics, damaged equipment, mobility issues, or specialized securement needs.
7. Pickup, Delivery and Site Access
You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the pickup and delivery locations and for identifying restrictions that could affect the truck, trailer, loading process, or delivery.
This may include gate access, loading zones, site rules, loading equipment, receiving hours, parking restrictions, road conditions, height or width restrictions, or the need for an authorized person to be present.
8. Scheduling and Delays
Pickup and delivery times are planned in good faith based on the information available when the job is confirmed. Transportation schedules may be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, mechanical issues, site delays, loading delays, regulatory requirements, ferry or facility schedules, and other conditions outside reasonable control.
We will communicate material scheduling changes when reasonably practicable.
9. Pricing and Payment
You are responsible for charges that are agreed or confirmed for the requested service. The method and timing of payment may vary depending on the customer, job, account arrangement, and written booking terms.
If the actual job materially differs from the information used to prepare the estimate or quote, pricing may need to be revised. Where reasonably possible, material changes will be discussed before the additional work proceeds.
10. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed job, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Any cancellation, rescheduling, standby, or other charge will depend on the terms communicated for the particular job and the costs or commitments already incurred. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Load Condition, Delivery and Claims
You should identify pre-existing damage or condition concerns before transport when they are relevant to the job. We may photograph or document the load, equipment, securement, pickup, or delivery condition for operational and record-keeping purposes.
If you believe loss or damage occurred during our service, notify us promptly with enough information for us to review the matter. We may request photographs, documents, receipts, condition information, or other reasonable evidence relevant to the claim.
12. Responsibility and Liability
Each party remains responsible for its own acts and obligations to the extent provided by applicable law and any specific written agreement for the job.
Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot is not responsible for loss, delay, or additional cost caused solely by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer, undisclosed conditions, inaccessible sites, acts of third parties, or events outside our reasonable control, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or replaces any statutory or other legal right that cannot be waived under applicable law.
13. Prohibited, Restricted or Unsafe Loads
Do not tender illegal goods or any load that requires licences, permits, equipment, handling procedures, or regulatory compliance that has not been disclosed and accepted before the job.
We may refuse any load that we reasonably believe cannot be transported safely or lawfully with the available equipment, operating authority, documentation, or information.
14. Third-Party Services and Platforms
Some transportation opportunities, bookings, payments, communications, or business services may involve third-party platforms or providers. Those third parties may have their own contracts, terms, policies, or responsibilities.
These Terms govern your direct relationship with Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot and do not replace terms that separately apply between you and a third party.
15. Steve's Guess
Steve's Guess is a website estimating tool intended to provide a preliminary starting point based on the information entered by the user.
Steve's Guess does not independently inspect the load, verify measurements or weight, determine legal transport requirements, reserve equipment, guarantee availability, or create a confirmed booking.
Ronnie's review and confirmation remain the authority for an actual transportation request.
16. Website Use and Intellectual Property
Website content, branding, written material, graphics, original media, design elements, software interfaces, and other proprietary material are owned by Ronnie's Hauling & Hotshot, RH Media & Development, their licensors, or other identified rights holders as applicable.
You may use the website for normal personal or business enquiries about our services. You may not copy, republish, exploit, interfere with, reverse engineer, or misuse protected website material except where permitted by law or with the permission of the applicable rights holder.
17. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the website or provided in connection with a service request is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy .
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as the website, services, business practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective or revision date.
Changes apply prospectively unless a different result is required by law or specifically agreed for an existing booking.
19. Governing Law
These general website Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, subject to any mandatory law that applies to a particular transaction or customer.
